The Big Cheese and I are in bed together as I type this little document. No, this isn’t some weird ass kinky shit going on. We’re sharing a cozy hotel room in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Joy of joys, one of my favorite anime’s of all time, The Samurai Pizza Cats has a box set coming out in July of this year. It will retail for $79.99 and it will have all 52 episodes (dubbed) on 8 DVD‘s. Discotek Media‘s Facebook Page posted the release a few day’s ago. This was a short lived series shown here in the US. It’s time slot was when most kids where headed to school, so hardly anyone saw it. This was at a time when Anime was still gaining some steam here in the US, and for some of us at the the time that were already fans, we were already enjoying such shows as the above aforementioned, Sailor Moon, Ronin Warriors, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and a few others. (I s always saw the Dragon Balls in it’s original Japanese version with Subtitles, and I never warmed to the dubbed versions.) All of these were shown like at 5 am, and we all had to set our VCR‘s to those time slots, and they never were on for very long. I do like the fact that Cartoon Network had the Anime Block at midnight that showed Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, and such, and even Sci-Fi was showing some classic anime films, such as Appleseed, Akira, etc.
Anyway, I am looking forward to this box set release, and will be purchasing it as soon as I can. I also did a post about this show not too long ago. (see Link below. )
Thank you also to Critique4Geeks for the original info.
Friend of mine shared this with me, it’s Sung Kang or Hahn from the Fast & Furious movies doing a faux car show called “Car Talk with Sung Kang”. It’s funny.
Alright. Being in high school sucks. Everyone knows it. For a teenager, high school is probably, as of the moment, the period in which work is just shit on you like you don’t have friends. And also they expect you to balance a social life or else face the consequences.
We here at JWAB have much in store. I, Cheesecake, as self proclaimed head of the music/arts/entertainment sections of JWAB, have been closely watching the releases of the albums of three artists. Expect an individual review for all three. See you all soon
Came across this not too long ago. 50 simple tips that will make anyone’s life that much easier.
I usually scour the end of the aisles for clearance items at Target. It’s a good way to find something for cheap. I’ve gotten lucky in the past, like picking up a couple of video games for well below the going rate. Each Target store varies. Today I was able to pick up a clearance Lego City series cement mixer.
Thought I’d pick it up, and build it, and display it. Warm up build if you may, as I have a big Lego Star Wars Sith Fury Class Interceptor I got for the holidays, and a Technics F1 car I just bought a week ago. I haven’t really built any Lego sets since the mid 2000′s, I think 2003, when I bought a Lego Star Wars Slave 1 set.
Anyway, I wanted to also try out the time lapse feature on my phone, a feature it just got from the latest Android Jelly Bean update (4.2.2), and what a good way to try it out. The build took about 20 or so minutes maybe, but the video is only a little bit over 2. The background music is from Advance Wars, Andy’s Theme. Enjoy.
Okay, if you’ve been following for a while…
Hold on, wait, damn, I start a lot of my posts this way.
You’d know that I’m Filipino (not exactly proud, but I’d say it if you specifically asked for my ethnicity. If you ask what am I, I’d say an American. Again, not proudly. I’d love to be English, lots of people would love to be English). [Keep reading after the break to find out what the hell I'm going on about!] Continue reading
Just a quick update, with the slowness of information coming from us. I’ve been sick the last week or so, and my mind has been blank. NekkedSnake is a stay at home father, so his time is also sporadic, and Pat, well he’s in school, so…. We have some upcoming stuff in the works (like we always do) but we just need wrap some stuff up. A few quick things though that happened in the last few days. first off, a sequel to Disney‘s ‘Finding Nemo‘ has been announced, and it’s titled ‘Finding Dory’. Nemo is probably my favorite of the Disney Pixar films, and I am extremely ecstatic that this will be coming out. It is set to be released on 2015.
And in other movie news, Robert Downey Jr. will not be reprising his role as Tony Stark in the upcoming Avengers 2. With his contractual obligations fulfilled with Iron Man 3 set to be released in May of this year, Robert Downey Jr. wanted to restructure his contract, but Marvel wasn’t willing. Jon Hamm of Mad Men fame is reported to be replacing Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark in a tweet by Marvel. This news kind of sucks to be honest. Robert Downey Jr. made Tony Stark come to life like no other. He fit the role to a T. We’ll see what happens as time goes on. Thing’s COULD change (hoping).
And I leave you with a trailer of an upcoming movie, Pacific Rim. Robot suits fighting a big monster. I am excited.
