ROLLING IN THE DEEEEEEEEEEP. Sorry. Had too. I was hanging out with a few buddies today, and out of nowhere, my friend started singing it. So I joined in. And it was a beautiful moment. The sound was horrendous, of course, but our singing talents aside, this song was great until it became overplayed. Just listen to it once, and be done with it. But make sure to keep coming back to our blog! (PLUGS FTW)
Earworm: One Step Closer – Linkin Park
Sooo, yeah, I haven’t posted in a while. After my short vaca, work chewed me up, spat me out, and chewed me up again, regurgitated me, and well, you get the idea. It’s been a bad ride the past few days, with the exception of some b-day treats and goodies, it’s just been quite gloomy.
In any case, my entry for today’s Earworm isn’t so much as an Earworm, but a state of mind.
It’s funny seeing them when they first started.
My sides are bursting. And so are Terry Crews’.
This guy knows how to take muscles to the next level. Open a new tab to watch it on Vimeo, and watch the entire thing to get a special treat. Trust me.
Earworm: “Toxic” by Britney Spears
First off, this song is awesome. No dispute from anyone. This song, is just… epic.
I’m addicted, okay?
Oh, the diversity of my music library! This killer song is on repeat, and it’s now my Earworm.
There should be no need to explain the awesomeness of this song to anyone. Or the video. Britney is damn sexy in the video. Just… awesomeness all around for this song.
*I do apologize for the possible Nicki Minaj image that appears if you decide to watch this intense jam on YouTube.
**Nicki Minaj is no bueno.
School’s coming in soon.
It’s a bit of a disappointment, to me. I haven’t done anything productive this summer.
Hmm… Let’s have a run through of what I’ve done this summer.
- …
- Nothing…
- Still thinking of nothing…
- …
- Blanks are the only things being pulled right now…
- Nope.
- I’ve done absolutely nothing.
Maybe being “employed” to contribute to this blog counts?
Anyway, I hope that everyone out there has had a more successful and more productive summer vacation.
I feel sick.
Oh, really? As the weekend comes along? I’m sick? This sucks. I must’ve overworked my body on Wednesday. It was nonstop running and walking and skateboarding for 12 hours straight.
My throat is killing me, my head is pounding, my muscles are sore. Hopefully I’ll feel better soon. I will not be updating you with an Earworm tonight, I’m gonna try to get some rest.
Oh, is this a birthday post?
Well, well, well. The big man is turning another page and adding another year to his past. Happy birthday, Jon!
I grew up with him, and he’s more of a big brother to me than a cousin. We’re a tight knit family, and it helped that we used to live in the same vicinity. Now I’m on Long Island and he’s in New Jersey. Jon’s influenced me in everything; musical tastes, car preferences, video games, television shows, books, technology… I don’t know what I’d be without him.
Damn, this post wasn’t meant to be that sentimental. But it ended up being pretty emotion-filled.
Okay, it’s true, I’m not one to use social media to greet someone a happy birthday. Nor do I use Facebook to remember a person’s date of birth. I try to remember the birth dates of the important people in my life, and The Big Cheese is one of the most important.
And isn’t that great? It’s on a Friday!
Earworm: “Heaven” by Bryan Adams
Okay, I think I’ve mentioned this before, but my musical listening range is rather diverse. This classic song just reminds me of when I was younger, listening to songs on mixtapes over and over and over and over again on the weekend road/shopping trips. One mixtape, that was made, quite possibly, by The Big Cheese himself, played all the time in my dad’s 2000 Ford Focus wagon.
I don’t know, for some strange reason, I just started to sing this song. Nothing triggered it; the only sound I could hear in my room was the clickity-clack of my keyboard and my air-conditioner churning by the window. But now it’s stuck in my head. Welcome to today’s Earworm, everybody.
Here’s the original song. Heaven by Bryan Adams.
And here’s the dance tune. Heaven by DJ Sammy.
Daily Sweater
Rage.
I’m going to be doing a first for my posts. I’m going to rant. It will be vague, it will be clean, and it will be anonymous. So yes. Read at will.
You know, it kind of bugs me how I’m always the one that has to spend my money to visit. What, you can’t do vice versa and take the train to visit me for a change? This goes for all of my friends, anywhere. I visit them, but they don’t have the freedom to visit me? They’re the ones more accustomed to public transportation! Jeez, give and take, people. That’s how life works. You give a little, and you take a little. Don’t let it be one sided.
