A friend of mine from FB, let’s call her Vementha, posted a few lyrics from this legendary song, and well, it’s now an earworm. The awesome instrumental riff in the back end of this song takes me back to Guitar Hero 2, and it’s awesome getting all the notes perfect. I wish I could take the time to learn it on an actual guitar though.
Anyway, enjoy this live version from 2003.
Batman Arkham Knight Trailer
This looks really juicy. I have only briefly played the first Arkham game for PS3 when it first came out, and I thought it was very well done. I never got around to buying the last 2 releases for PS3, but recently, a good buddy of mine gave the first 2 to me as a gift via Steam. Anyway, as I mentioned, the trailer looks juicy. It shows off 3 villains, Harley Quinn, Two Face, and the Penguin, oh and the Batmobile is PRESENT! This raises a question though as to how the Batmobile will be implemented in the game. Bats got around the previous games before just fine with out it.
The trailer looks gorgeous. I doubt it is done in real time, but with the hardware muscle of the next or current gen systems (PS4, and XB1), and the PC, it looks to be visually stunning. The game drops later this year, and will be only available on PS4, XB1, and PC. This will be Rocksteady’s final Arkham game, and it will also conclude that story line.

Calvin & Hobbes (1985-1986 Reissue 003)
[Calvin & Hobbes is one of the best comic strips to have come into existence in the latter part of the 20th century. This strip, created by the awesome Bill Watterson, ran for a decade, from November 18, 1985 to December 31, 1995. As a kid I discovered the first ever collection of strips in book form self titled Calvin & Hobbes in a local bookstore. As I glanced through the first few pages I became instantly hooked. It centers on a 6 year old boy Calvin, and his stuffed toy aka best friend come to imaginary life Hobbes, and their adventures about life. It’s a truly remarkable series that I’d like to share with you boys and girls. As that sharing goes, I’ll do my best to pepper in a strip as time goes on. Enjoy!]

The Last Days Of FOXHOUND (reissue 012 – Original SN1P3R)
[The Last Days of FOXHOUND is a fan made comic that I stumbled upon a few years ago while perusing the Internetz as an MGS fan. This strip, created by a fellow MGS fan named Chris Douchette, ran this comic from 2003-2008. I was lucky enough to run into all 500 completed pages and wanted to share them with all of you readers. I’ll try to reiterate each and every consecutive page as time goes on. Most of the humor stems from the going on throughout the MGS series, so those who aren’t too familiar may find themselves slightly lost. My solution: play the MGS games. You guys wouldn’t be here anyways if you haven’t at least played MGS1. Anywho, enjoy!]

MGS: LA
So this winter weather has got me snowed in yet again. I decided to make it a Netflix day recently and watched some Ultimate Spiderman and Avengers. Afterwards I scrolled thru the menu and decided to add Escape From L.A. to my list and boy, there are SO MANY things from this movie that Hideo Kojima lifted, I mean aside from the first movie, Escape From New York, that is. The elements don’t just extend to the first few MGS games, but even to MGSV. Realizing this, I thought I’d share with you all.

PAK Toys Redux
So I was cruising the internetz and happened to come across a Konami Blog page which consisted of redone paint jobs for Play Arts Kai MGS toys. Owning some of these toys myself, I couldn’t help but notice the exceptional paint job that this modder had done. his name is Tomasz Rozejowski (aka Zelu1984). He is a painter/sculptor who has modded a number of toys from different brands, namely the PAK MGS toys. When interviewed on Konami Blog about his technique he had this to say:
In general with most of my customs there is quite a lot of sculpting involved, I use FIXIT Sculpt clay for many of my projects as it gives me tons of flexibility and about 5 hours sculpting time before the clay gets rock hard. In terms of sculpting tools I use pretty much anything I can find: craft knives, pens, toothpicks, paper clips etc. With paints I’m still experimenting but I’m quite happy with Vallejo – Model Color.
Here are some nice examples: (more…)
