And it looks pretty dope.  I have a Kotobukiya Female Shepard Bishoujo statue, and the detail and art work was amazing. (See my original post here)

Slated to be released apparently in Q2 of 2016.  Too long, but will be waiting for it for sure.  Prices will most likely be around $80-$100 USD.  More to follow when more details arise.

Metal Gear Sahelanthropus Figure Looks Freakin’ Dope!

Toys  these days, they are looking very much detailed to a tee.  Just look at any of Hot Toys  …Toys….  and even the run of the mill action figure is looking more detailed than they have ever been.  Anyway, head on to the link past the break and check out this awesomeness. (more…)

Earworm: Everything Is AWESOME!!! — The LEGO® Movie — Tegan and Sara feat. The Lonely Island

I just saw the Lego Movie this weekend, and it was quite awesome. Having said that, they had this song in the movie called ‘Everything is Awesome’, and it I have been humming it since I left the theater. Granted my nephews kept singing it too, but, it didn’t matter, the song was an earworm to me. It’s sung by Tegan and Sara with The Lonely Island doing the rap. The lyrics are great, and the beat is so bubbly, it actually lifted my spirits up a bit. Anyway, enjoy the song, and oh yeah, go see the movie, it’s awesome!

As promised, here are the shots of the Kotobukiya Female Commander Shepard.  I really enjoyed the fine detail in this figure.  This was my first Kotobukiya, and I look forward to getting some more down the line.  All photos were taken by me, with a Nikon D700, a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 & a Nikkor 60mm Micro f/2.8 Macro lens and an SB-900 Flash.

Enjoy the Gallery! (more…)

Kotobukiya Female Commander Shepard Figure

I was able to finally pick up this figure of Female Commander Shepard of Mass Effect fame.  It went on sale at Forbidden Planet, a NYC comic book shop for 50 beans, so I picked one up.  I’ve been wanting to get a Kotobukya figure for a while, and with a $20 price drop, I could not pass it up. After taking some photos of it, I am very happy with the level of detail and fit and finish of it.  Below is a quicky shot.  I will post up the rest shortly.

Lego Time Lapse

_NEF6259

I usually scour the end of the aisles for clearance items at Target.  It’s a good way to find something for cheap.  I’ve gotten lucky in the past, like picking up a couple of video games for well below the going rate.  Each Target store varies.  Today I was able to pick up a clearance Lego City series cement mixer.

Thought I’d pick it up, and build it, and display it.  Warm up build if you may, as I have a big Lego Star Wars Sith Fury Class Interceptor I got for the holidays, and a Technics F1 car I just bought a week ago. I haven’t really built any Lego sets since the mid 2000’s, I think 2003, when I bought a Lego Star Wars Slave 1 set.

Anyway, I wanted to also try out the time lapse feature on my phone, a feature it just got from the latest Android Jelly Bean update (4.2.2), and what a good way to try it out.  The build took about 20 or so minutes maybe, but the video is only a little bit over 2.  The background music is from Advance Wars, Andy’s Theme.  Enjoy.
