Pikachu 3DS XL Coming Stateside?

Not sure how i feel about carrying a huge 3DSXL with Pikachu’s mug on it, but I am excited to see it in a commercial. And speaking of that commercial, it reminds me of those after school commercials of yesteryear.

When the special edition Pikachu 3DS XL was original announced as a Japan-only release, I was super jelly. But, just when I thought we would never get any of the cool special edition handhelds over in the US, the team at the official Pokemon Facebook page started teasing the announcement of some Pikachu related news coming tomorrow.

Games always get a bad rap, maybe this is a good step forward

Jen's avatarAnother Castle

In the wake of a horrific year, President Obama and many other politicians like him briefly looked at video games as the cause. Although still part of the heavy debate, the ESRB, or Entertainment Software Rating Board, has already begun to take steps to improve educating parents on the appropriateness of titles.

Set to launch a heavy marketing campaign in the coming months, the ESRB looks to raise awareness of the rating systems through local and national television broadcasting. The ESRB is also looking to extend their ratings coverage to mobile and social games.

U.S. Senator John Thune spoke with IGN, stating, “The video game industry makes games for people of all ages, but that doesn’t mean all games are appropriate for everyone.” He continued on praising the ESRB’s actions in their awareness campaign, “I commend the industry for raising awareness of the tools available to parents that can…

Samurai Pizza Cats Fan Club Oath

The Pizza Cats are Samurai,
and I’d like to note:
their antics take your breath away
like furr balls in your throat
We kittens are a special breed
we never call retreat.
Whenever Big Cheese knocks us down
we land upon our feet.
So hail to thee, oh Pizza Cats.
Please ring your little bell.
Although you may be pen and ink
we know you’ll fight like…
Pizza Cats!

What is Samurai Pizza Cats you may ask, it was a 90’s cartoon from Japan that was show in the wee early hours of the AM during school days, so that no one would know it’s epic-ness.  It was very funny, and witty, and well drawn as well.  It is one of my favorite Anime’s out there, sadly it was short lived.  Read more from it’s Wikipedia page .  The oath above was recited right before the end credits.   I should hunt down a dvd set for this, if it is available. Anyhow, i’ll just have to turn to the you tubes.  Oh yeah, the end theme came up on my Zune, whilst I was doing random chores, hence why I thought i’d share this with you all.

Here’s the Intro. Listen to it carefully, the lyrics are funny.

and here’s the end theme with the oath.

Congratulations…

to my long time friend, and fellow blogger, Meeka of Meeka’s Mind on getting her first book up on Amazon called Vokhtah.  I have yet to read it, but I have it on my Kindle Fire, ready to go.  Hopefully I can further help her out by writing a review here.  I also let Cheesecake know about this, and maybe we can do a write up.  (yea, we still have to do the RE6 review like we said so many  months ago, but we are still playing it =D)

Please for the low price of A$2.99 or if you have Amazon Prime, it’s a free rental.

Funny YouTube pages such as this…

Are the reason why teachers don’t trust Wikipedia. Don’t look at it and just be all, “WTF IS THIS,” just… keep scrolling. Come back and comment your thoughts.

Earworm: “Ding Dong Song” by Gunther and the Sunshine Girls

I love this song. The hilarious innuendos are endless. I do advise you not to watch this at work, of course. NSFW, bros. Have some hilarity.
