Earworm: “Math Suks” by Jimmy Buffett

Okay, I’ll admit. This song isn’t actually stuck in my head because of the tune. Quite frankly, I hate this song. It sucks just as badly as math does. My trigonometry teacher has a sign on her desk that says, “Math suks,” and at least 9 people asked about it. She had to explain it so many times that it has been implanted in my head. What a great memory for the first day of school.

[Big Cheese]-added video…kinda

Earworm: School week special – “Informer” Snow

In celebration of the start of the new school year, (although i’m not sure if it really is a celebration for some.) this weeks Earworms will be based on songs that reminds us of school.  Not so much as songs about school, but songs that when we hear them, reminds us of the day’s that’s gone by.  Well for me at least, Cheesecake is still in school, so i’m not sure how good he’ll do with our special.

In any case, let me get things started.  My first entry is Snow’s Informer, which was released back in 1992.  It just reminds me of when I was in 8th grade, listening to it at my friend’s house after school, and hearing the ‘cool’ kids singing it or what not.  To this day, it just takes me back to those day’s when I hear this song.

I still like hearing it every now and then, but for the past 10 minutes, it’s been looping in another tab on you tube, and it’s kinda annoying now.

So, I ask this to our ten’s of readers, what song brings you back to the good ole’ days.

Earworm: “Goodnight Moon” by Go Radio.

Guys, I’m really sorry that I’ve been slacking on my posts. I went stagnant, had to deal with a bunch of kids this past weekend, and I really have to get back on my grind. So here it is, my Earworm for today.

Just a soothing tune, a song to calm the mind and relax with. A ballad for lovers and the hopelessly romantic.

But damn, is this a good song. Go Radio is a rock band from Florida, formed by former vocalist/guitarist/lyricist of Mayday Parade, Jason Lancaster. The dude has an angelic voice, and I think that, along with the piano ringing in the background, makes the whole song.

I found out about this song way back when, around last Halloween, I believe. And I have never truly gotten rid of it in my mind.

(Yes, the children’s story, “Goodnight Moon,” inspired the song.)

Earworm: Little Talks – Of Monsters and Men

I’ve heard this song a few times over the last few days, and it’s been resonating in my head for some time now. Finally had a chance to look at the video, and it’s a bit trippy. I think everyone will enjoy it. The song is also, very soothing to say the least, to me anyway.

Earworm – Brady Bunch Theme song(s)

Yeah, so, we were singing it at work yesterday.  I forget what song we were really ‘trying’ to sing, (and really sing(ing) is also loosely interpreted as just moans, hums, and random noises in the office) but somehow we always ended up with the Brady Bunch Theme.

Perhaps we should do a Earworm TV theme week….hmmmmm

Earworm: Never Gonna Give You Up – Rick Astley

I don’t need to give much introduction to this song.  My GF mentioned it a few days ago in a text, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this song, and the video.

The song is just as amazing as his dance moves.

and just for fun, the VH1 Pop Up Video

Sorry, but I just Rick Rolled y’all =P.

Earworm: “Rolling In The Deep” by Adele

ROLLING IN THE DEEEEEEEEEEP. Sorry. Had too. I was hanging out with a few buddies today, and out of nowhere, my friend started singing it. So I joined in. And it was a beautiful moment. The sound was horrendous, of course, but our singing talents aside, this song was great until it became overplayed. Just listen to it once, and be done with it. But make sure to keep coming back to our blog! (PLUGS FTW)

Earworm: One Step Closer – Linkin Park

Sooo, yeah, I haven’t posted in a while. After my short vaca, work chewed me up, spat me out, and chewed me up again, regurgitated me, and well, you get the idea. It’s been a bad ride the past few days, with the exception of some b-day treats and goodies, it’s just been quite gloomy.

In any case, my entry for today’s Earworm isn’t so much as an Earworm, but a state of mind.

It’s funny seeing them when they first started.

Earworm: “Toxic” by Britney Spears

First off, this song is awesome. No dispute from anyone. This song, is just… epic.

I’m addicted, okay?

Oh, the diversity of my music library! This killer song is on repeat, and it’s now my Earworm.

There should be no need to explain the awesomeness of this song to anyone. Or the video. Britney is damn sexy in the video. Just… awesomeness all around for this song.

*I do apologize for the possible Nicki Minaj image that appears if you decide to watch this intense jam on YouTube.

**Nicki Minaj is no bueno.

Earworm: “Heaven” by Bryan Adams

Okay, I think I’ve mentioned this before, but my musical listening range is rather diverse. This classic song just reminds me of when I was younger, listening to songs on mixtapes over and over and over and over again on the weekend road/shopping trips. One mixtape, that was made, quite possibly, by The Big Cheese himself, played all the time in my dad’s 2000 Ford Focus wagon.

I don’t know, for some strange reason, I just started to sing this song. Nothing triggered it; the only sound I could hear in my room was the clickity-clack of my keyboard and my air-conditioner churning by the window. But now it’s stuck in my head. Welcome to today’s Earworm, everybody.

Here’s the original song. Heaven by Bryan Adams.

And here’s the dance tune. Heaven by DJ Sammy.
