Earworm: “Changing of the Seasons” by Two Door Cinema Club

In honor of the release of their new EP, I’m going to give you all a heads up on the first song to be released off their upcoming album. This song has been out for a few months now, but damn, it’s still good, and the two (or three, depending on your region) songs that released on the EP titled after the first single aren’t slacking either.

The titular track is the bee’s knees. Yeah. It’s that good to me that I had to use some retro lingo to describe how much I fucking liked it.

Have a listen to this track.

Oh, and enjoy the video, I did. It makes zero sense. I love it when things make no sense.

Mortal Kombat Legacy Season 2

Possibly the best imagining of a real life Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat Legacy took the you tubes by storm in 2011.  After a couple of  years or so after season 1, season 2 is upon us, and all of season 2 can be watched right now, instead of having to wait every week for a new episode.

Here’s the link to the first episode.

Earworm: “Kids” by Two Door Cinema Club

Seldom heard songs always make me happy. Being as I’ve only been comprehensively browsing the internet for, oh, say, four years of my life, I’m bound to have missed some gems from my favorite bands since they were probably making music way before I could understand what the internet even entailed.

Two Door Cinema Club made its fame through myspace, yeah, remember myspace? Timberlake’s social networking platform. Yeah.

Two Door Cinema Club dropped EPs on that site back when it was relevant, and have yet to rerelease some of the songs. I do believe three of the five songs from their first EP made their debut album, Tourist History, but the one song that I listen to over and over again happens to be Kids, a song that is credited to be on the Tourist History tracklist for the Japanese release.

Sorry Kid, You’re Too Short For This Ride

So I recently took a stroll to my local game shop last weekend to see if there were any bargain deals. For a gamer dad who has an almost 1 year old, and has a budget for which the majority goes to diapers and baby food, bargain hunting for games was essential.

Earworm – A Light That Never Comes – Linkin Park and Steve Aoki

I just caught wind of this, and being a big LP fan, I just had to share it.  It’s not their usual fare, but it is in line with their stuff in between albums.  It’s suppose to be on their Re-animation (more…)

HTC One – Month later (Update)

Back Side

HTC One – Month later

So it’s been a month since I’ve bought my HTC One, and it still brings me joy to use as it did on the first day.  The screen still looks incredibly clear.  Watching videos is still very much joyous. Switching back and forth between my old Galaxy Nexus and the HTC One, the difference is quite drastic.  It just pops more on the One. The Boom speakers still amazes me when I use it.  I’ve gotten a lot of positive comments on how the sound….sounds great, and as well as the screen. (more…)

Damien Rice Has Worms

OK so the title for this post shouldn’t be taken seriously. It’s just some wordplay so if I’ve alarmed any Damien Rice fans I apologize. It’s a general thing I do when posting any subject matter related to an Earworm post. Such as The Blower’s Daughter, a Rice track that hit real big in 2001, and was included in the OST to the 2004 movie Closer. (more…)
