My hunt for an “everyday” black and white film continued…for the third successive week, I shot blindly around town with a different roll of film not knowing what to expect. This week, Nikki (my Nikon F90x) and I had some fun chewing through a roll of Fujifilm’s Neopan Acros. I had gotten used to handling the AF50/1.8 D lens and decided to use it again – it has become my choice lens for Nikki.

A Weekend of Music In Toronto
I had the pleasure of roaming around Toronto during the weekend and enjoy some great music, courtesy of two annual music festivals running in town: NXNE and the TD Toronto Jazz Festival.
This was also a great opportunity to try out if the camera in my phone (a Samsung Galaxy S6) was as good as Samsung had advertised. All the photos scattered in this post were taken with the phone. I’ll say – right now – that if handled correctly, this phone’s camera is downright jaw-dropping! Let’s enjoy reading about both delights.
Welcome To Our Newest Editor!
I’d like to introduce our newest editor, Alvin. Alvin has been a long time photographer/videographer friend.
In the upcoming days, weeks, or maybe even months, we will be mostly going to be focussing on photography related items.
Hopefully this 2nd iteration of JWAB will be more fruitful than the first. Stay tuned!
Earworm: Paramore – Pressure (and an editorial)
We are back! Well sort of. I know it’s been a long while since any of us three has posted anything. I myself just got married, and had to go through the process of moving, and getting readjusted. Pat, is wrapping up his HS life, and getting ready for college, and Clothed Snake moving in to a new homestead, and working some freelance gigs. Something had to give and unfortunately, this had to be put on the backburner.
Hopefully we can start providing some sort of content, as we enter into the holiday season, and maybe provide y’all with some fun and immature stuff.
To kick off our sort of return, I give you an earworm, in the form of Paramore’s latest single and video called pressure.
Nothing better than listenting to their smooth sounds, watching them jam out. As usual Ms. Williams looks amazing, with those red locks. Of course, the preverbial cherry on top, water gets dumped on the band, and, I have to admit, seeing a wet Hayley got my heart to skip a bit momentarily.
Enjoy!
Kit Kat Lands on Verizon HTC Ones
Hot off the heels of Sprints Kit Kat update on its HTC One variant, Verizon, surprisingly is 2nd to push out the Android 4.4.2 update among US carriers. If anyone recalls, Verizon was the last to push out the last Jelly Bean update (4.3) to it’s HTC One by about a month after the other 3 major US carriers. HTC itself said late last year that it will deliver Kit Kat to carrier One variants at the end of January, but with certification process taking a bit more time than they had anticipated, they retracted the end of January delivery date, and pushed it to sometime in February.
Sprint released their updates last week, and now Verizon is following suit some days later (about a week if not less). A tweet from @moversi of HTC announcing that they had received technical approval, and @VZWnews tweeting that it will start OTA in stages. I read this kinda late, and I am still downloading the update as I type this. But anyway, Verizon One customers rejoice! Hit that update button and get some sweet Kit Kat lovin’

Happy Birthday Day To Cheesecake!
Happy Birthday, bud. In order to Commemorate your day I’ve decided to give you the gift of three choices.
1. You can actually try to bake your own Cheesecake.
2. You can decide to take your anger and frustration out in case you burn your cheesecake on Squishy Bird.
3. You can do both at the same time: bake while killing that Fucking feathered Bastard from Flappy Bird.
Anyways, here’s to you!
JAAACCCKKK!!!
Whether or not any of you readers watched the superbowl yesterday (i don’t care for it personally), there were a slew of tv spots as usual, as with every year. One of them stood out and was actually the only thing worth watching about the superbowl at all, well aside from the Bruno Mars section, which may I say was awesome.
Guys and gals, JACK IS BACK!!! Kiefer Sutherland will reprise his role as hard nosed Counter Terrorists specialist Naked Snake Jack Bauer in the 9th long awaited season of 24. Also making a return is Mary Lynn Rajskub aka Chloe O’Brien. Here are the two tv spots which aired yesterday:

2013 in review
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 11,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
Happy New Years to all!
On behalf of myself, Nekked Snake, and Cheesecake, we would like to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year! 2013, was a great year for the three of us. We are working to bring you more content, like we’ve never brought before here on JWAB (and Nekkesnake.WP). I know, I know, I have said this many many times before, but we are working behind the scenes to bring forth some more multimedia content. Let’s hope the timing works out. But for now, enjoy the end of the year, and as always stay safe, and celebrate responsibly.
