Sort of.. I paid for it but. I just have to wait to take it home.
I was the first to checkout at my local best buy.
Shocking? Yes, very shocking. MGS big daddy Hideo Kojima wants to blow something of ours. No, not that. The other thing. You know, our Minds? As always when Kojima has something big to share with everyone as far as MGS is concerned, Spike TV’s Geoff Keighley always seems to be at the front of the line on his hands and knees. OK, scratch the last few words. See, he’s actually standing in this picture:
Thursday (tomorrow) seems like it’ll be a big day for MGS fans as Kojima will have some PS4 related info that will “blow your mind.” Judging from the increased flood of trailers, gameplay videos, and screen shots I’d hold him up to his word.
We’ll have more info as it washes over the Internetz, so keep it here.

My good buddy Big Cheese over at JWAB recently sent me this clip of a Sony PS4 unboxing. The first thing that came to mind was the question:
“Is it wrong to want to have sex with a machine?”
I know it sounds a little sadomasochistic and fetishist. But I mean, just look at the video from T3!
The Playstation 4 looks SO GOOD. It’s totally UNGH worthy. It’s super sexy. It’s edgy (no pun intended). The combination of matte and glossy black say sleek. It’s got that “next gen” profile. I don’t really know what that means but whatever it is the PS4 has it. And I like it. A lot.
Unfortunately for me, I won’t be able to actually own this piece of tech perhaps till next year but Big Cheese will get his lucky mitts on it at release day. I’ll have to live vicariously through him for the next 365 days. That and I can watch all the PS4 pr0n I want on YouTube. Till then…
Mmm, baby got Back.
OK, before any of you get in an uproar about my header title, Yes, MGSV is still a multiplatform/cross platform game being released on current and next gen hardware.
Ok I’ve seen some pretty good cosplay talent before. Some good. Some not so good. Some ridiculously sick.
Looks like Hideo has flown in to New York, possibly for the PS4 release. He’s been doing interviews since he landed so hopefully we get more news about Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. (more…)
Whilst at lunch, I so happen to stop by the Best Buy near my office (Union Square, in NYC), and they had a kiosk up with a PS4, ready and waiting for customers to try out. The Best Buy person dude was there, sort of explaining it to people that didn’t know, and a couple of dudes watching the videos that were playing. One of the dudes, grabs the controller and fired up the Knack Demo.
At first glance, the graphics, while very nice, and a bit more detailed that the current gen games, does not give (more…)
Can it be? Has Hideo Kojima finally bestowed upon us an actual RELEASE DATE?! Holy hell it looks like he has!!
Update:
I quickly took the unboxing video, and now we have to dub it, and do all this other stuff. We also will try to get it to work with our PS3, as some reports state. On super early impressions, it feels good, a bit bigger than the DS3, and a bit heftier, but not uncomfortable. It does feel more ergonomic in the hands. Shoulder buttons feel better placed and the analogs feel that much tighter. The touchpad, can also be pressed, which I didn’t know. In any case, here’s a quick comparo pic with my pretty dirty DS3.
Original Post:
We just picked up our very own dual shock 4 for Sony‘s upcoming PlayStation 4. We will have a hands on impressions up soon. Stay tuned.
So I recently took a stroll to my local game shop last weekend to see if there were any bargain deals. For a gamer dad who has an almost 1 year old, and has a budget for which the majority goes to diapers and baby food, bargain hunting for games was essential.
