Very attractive Saria

I thought this was Link at first. The dude in the back appeared in a few more of my photos….FAIL!

Again this was from 2011’s New York City Comic Con.  This year’s is less than a month away, and we will be on hand for more photos!

Nothing really special today, another photo testing out how the bokeh looks on my then new Canon Powershot S95.
I wasn’t expecting much, but I do like the creamyness that it produces.

Again this was from last year’s New York City Comic Con.  And what’s up with the Pez Garfield you may ask.  Well, see for yourself.  Where is Garfield now?

Some months ago, I got to visit Vancouver BC, up in the pacific northwest. What a beautiful place. Weather was nice and cool, despite the rain. We got to sta in West Vancouver, and a few blocks away was the Lonsdale Quay. A market place if you will on a pier, similar to South Street Seaport in NYC.

It was very early in the AM, as we were still in Eastern Standard time, and the place was still empty. While checking out the views, there was this Tug Boat, just floating, waiting to be put to work that day.

At this time, I was just sort of getting into Instagram, and I snapped a photo with my Motorola Droid Bionic. I really like how the shot came out, and with Instagram’s filters, it gave the shot some sort of personality.

I have reservations about Instagram still, as it makes us photographers that slave at post-processing, editing to make our shot(s) how we want it to look, look easy. Gives everyone else the idea that it’s not that complicated.

Anyway, that’s for another time and rant to be discussed ina future blog (maybe).

Enjoy!

And a happy Monday to all!

Nothing special on this shot, just a quick test on how my then new Canon Powershot S95 would handle low light situations.  It handled it pretty damn well.  Prior to me getting the S95, I never cared much for point and shoots. But I got tired of lugging either my Nikon D700, or Pentax K20, so to relieve myself of carrying around bulky DSLR’s I did some research, and found the S95 to be a good grab and go shooter.  I am pretty much in love with this little monster, and I will not hesitate to recommend this or any of it’s successors to anyone.  Time and again, this has captured images just as good as my 2 DSLR’s, granted it’s still limited, but still packs a punch.

As you can see on the photo below, it captured the night scene fairly well.

Now, I may or may not be able to post for the next few days.

Have a good weekend everyone!

I love food, espcially when it’s the good variety. Putting each bite in your mouth is like Christmas morning. Great food will give you a flavor explosion with each bite.

Bill’s Special Baked Meatloaf with Hickory-Smoked Bacon and Tomato Chutney is just that, a flavor explosion with each bite. The name, also a mouthful, says it all. I don’t go that crazy over meatloaf, but this one is truly an exception.

This can be ordered in NYC’s NoHo star, a semi-small spot in lower Manhattan, Bill’s Special Baked Meatloaf with Hickory-Smoked Bacon and Tomato Chutney is just one of the many interesting items on the menu. One of my other favorites is Squid Salad.

Apologies for the absense of this post. I got caught up with work and a few other personal chores. But now back to our regularly scheduled randomness.

This was again, shot in 2009, when my buddy and I went all out and ate at Morimoto’s Restaurant in Philadelphia. I shot it from the entrance vestibule looking in, as it does have that ‘wow’ factor when you walk in. With changing colors on the lights, and a wavy, aquatic feel to the place. I just wish I didn’t include that thing in the middle, it sort of is a bit distracting, ok, it is distracting. Hopefully i’ll get another chance at dining there again. It is one of the best food experiences i’ve ever had, and I don’t even care I paid $250.00 for my half of the bill.

IT WAS THAT GOOD…

Possibly one of my favorite cars of all time, and one of the sexiest cars of all time, the Aston Martin DB9 is a thing a beauty. Granted this is the drop top version,it still looks absolutely stunning, and it was a treat for me to be able to photograph this DB9 unexpectedly during a Euro Car meet I was attending in Long Island. The owner has had some custom work done on it, with some carbon fiber body work, but it doesn’t detract from the overall beauty of this vehicle. Hopefully I can get together with the owner and take some more shots of this extremely sexy car.

One of my personal favorites, shot at the Storm King Art Center in The Hudson Valley, NY. (http://www.stormking.org/) It’s a massive expanse of a space, and the fields were brimming with life.   It took me a good while to get done taking photos of bees, lady bugs, and of course butterflies.  View my photoset and see what’s what.  I personally love the photographs that came out of that trip.  I used my Pentax K-20D with a DA* 50-135mm Lens, processed in Lightroom.
