Mid-Morning Pick Me Up

Snappy Facts:

Random Photo Of The Day – Peter’s Denial

Was browsing through all my photos and found this photo I took of a chicken sandwich.  It was ordered by my god daughter while we were at “The Priest” and is called Peter’s Denial.  Good one, guys!  I’m wondering if bacon can be added, but I need to check out this sandwich at my earliest.

Random Photo Of The Day – Banh Mi Boys

Went to a Vietnamese sandwich shop some time last month and this was what my girlfriend ordered.  Rice bun, veggies and a decent sized strip of Pork Belly.  Jezza, eat your heart out!

It goes without saying that the Labour Day weekend is, unofficially, the last days of summer.  Without further ado, here’s my list of things happening around town.  Items 2, 3 and 4 you need to have tickets (although read up on #4 – there are ways to see it for “free”), but otherwise these events are free.  Have a great weekend! Snappy Fridays – Special ‘Dough’-nut

Artisanal stuff is just great.  You take an everyday mundane thing like a doughnut, and make it fancy, like put bits of brownie on top of a chocolate glaze and finish it off with some pecans, and make it fresh through the day on site, and charge twice as much as Dunkin’ Donuts and it all amounts to Dough Doughnuts special. (daily, weekly, not really sure, I  don’t go there enough)

Yes! It’s as good as it looks

I do prefer Doughnut Plant as my go to sweet guilty pleasure, but this sure does take the icing? … Also? …
Please leave us some feedback below, like our FB page, or just like this post.  It would be better too if you can follow us, so you won’t miss out on stuff you really can miss out on…lol.  But seriously, we’d like to know your thoughts, good or bad.

Alvin’s Food Follies – A “Snappy” First Visit to Jackson’s Burger

Friday afternoon, on my way between work and an event (at which only hors d’oeuvres were being served) my girlfriend thankfully asked me to grab myself a bite. I only had 20 minutes.  Jackson’s Burger was on the way, found along Yonge Street, south of Gerrard Street. The guys are open late too.
