Random Photos – NYC

Sorry I missed putting up random photos last night.  Our new couch gets to be very comfortable, especially after long days.  Anyway, I give you 3 shots, again from 2009, maybe 2010, but most likely 2009.  These were shot with my then brand new Nikon D700 with a 24mm F/2.8 Nikkor D lens.

Funny, when I say ‘then brand new Nikon D700’.  I can’t believe it’s been 9 years since I adopted into the Nikon system.  That’s another story for another post.  For now, please enjoy these shots.

Please leave us some feedback below, like our FB page, or just like this post.  It would be better too if you can follow us, so you won’t miss out on stuff you really can miss out on…lol.  But seriously, we’d like to know your thoughts, good or bad

Jezza’s Digital Follies – So many (cell-phone) cameras! (and some horses)

NEF_0139

Recently, the world famous Budweiser Clydesdale horses rode through town to do a beer run.  They actually had to drop off a case of Bud at each of the local bars.  Well in any case, it became a spectacle.  I wasn’t actually expecting it to be that ‘chaotic’.  I’m not really going to talk about the horses.  Sure, they were magnificent beasts, all very well mannered and groomed to perfection.  No, I really want to talk about the cell phone or ‘iPhone-tography’ (is that what it is really called?) that’s just the craze these days. This is probably one of my favorite events to spectate let alone shoot.  The last few years or should I say the first 3 years of me watching / shooting this event, I have been more of a spectator than a photographer.  You could also say I got a bit lazy and just wanted to enjoy the weekend.  This year I wanted to focus more on the photography and try to enjoy it as much, and I’m glad I went that direction.  I think I enjoyed it more watching the race unfold through my finder rather than watching and capturing snap shots casually with whatever camera I happen to have available.

Flickr Random Photo of the Day – Sunrise

It’s been a week since I was out enjoying the waves and the sun and I haven’t been able to adjust back to normalcy.  Having said that, it pains me to look at my vacation photos since I wished I was still there.  I did happen to open up Lightroom though and I just so happen to close it at one particular sunrise session I did.  One of the shots below, which I am not too crazy on, but I am sharing with y’all anyway.  More from this set to come soon!

Sunrise

Yes, it’s not tack, and somehow I managed to unsettle this 1.3 second exposure.

Random Flickr Photo of the Day – April 25, 2014

This is an oldy, but quite the goody. I found this bug or beetle sitting lifeless on our floor leading out to the deck. Thought before I discarded it, I should take few photos.

My Nigri and Friends (WIGN)

Not sure why, but in the past month, or so, but this photos has gotten over 1500 hits. Is Jessica Nigri with Pez Garfield of WIGN fame, but it’s not the best one either. Quite confused.

Red One

It’s been a while since I posted one of these. Have been in a creative slump photography wise. Anyway, just going to post a very clean Mark IV Volkswagen Jetta GLI. I think the owner calls it ‘Red Sauce’. It indeed is saucy. I forget what he did to the car, but it is very nicely done.

The Beast

Dubbed the ‘Wildebeest’ by it’s owner, this Mini forced induced monster is indeed a beast. It’s not only turbo charged, but supercharged as well. The matte green wrapped mini copper churns out upwards of 350+ BHP. A lot of custom work was done through out the car to accomadate the power, and is the epitomy of a ‘pocket rocket’
