Earworm: Serebro – Mi Mi Mi…

I blame Cheesecake for this one.  He played this while we were in the car.  Now I have heard this song previously, and I didn’t pay much attention to it, but, he kept on humming it, and it’s turned into an earworm.  It’s distracting me so much I had to forgo my scheduled post.

We’ll that partially true.  I have been busy working on a home project, and by the end of it all, I am totally spent.  I am hoping to get it up by Wednesday. In the meantime, enjoy this irritating earworm.

On the plus side, Serebro is not bad to look at.

A Weekend of Music In Toronto

image

Yonge-Dundas Square – Panorama during The New Pornographers concert.

I had the pleasure of roaming around Toronto during the weekend and enjoy some great music, courtesy of two annual music festivals running in town: NXNE and the TD Toronto Jazz Festival.

This was also a great opportunity to try out if the camera in my phone (a Samsung Galaxy S6) was as good as Samsung had advertised.  All the photos scattered in this post were taken with the phone. I’ll say – right now – that if handled correctly, this phone’s camera is downright jaw-dropping! Let’s enjoy reading about both delights.

Earworm: Paramore – Pressure (and an editorial)

We are back! Well sort of. I know it’s been a long while since any of us three has posted anything. I myself just got married, and had to go through the process of moving, and getting readjusted. Pat, is wrapping up his HS life, and getting ready for college, and Clothed Snake moving in to a new homestead, and working some freelance gigs. Something had to give and unfortunately, this had to be put on the backburner.

Hopefully we can start providing some sort of content, as we enter into the holiday season, and maybe provide y’all with some fun and immature stuff.

To kick off our sort of return, I give you an earworm, in the form of Paramore’s latest single and video called pressure.

Nothing better than listenting to their smooth sounds, watching them jam out. As usual Ms. Williams looks amazing, with those red locks. Of course, the preverbial cherry on top, water gets dumped on the band, and, I have to admit, seeing a wet Hayley got my heart to skip a bit momentarily.

Enjoy!

Earworm: Freebird – Lynard Skynard

A friend of mine from FB, let’s call her Vementha, posted a few lyrics from this legendary song, and well, it’s now an earworm. The awesome instrumental riff in the back end of this song takes me back to Guitar Hero 2, and it’s awesome getting all the notes perfect. I wish I could take the time to learn it on an actual guitar though.
Anyway, enjoy this live version from 2003.

Earworm: Ed Sheeran – You Need Me, I Don’t Need You

Seriously, I was never a fan of Ed Sheeran, but slowly his songs, his lyrics got to me, and I got on the bandwagon.  This particular one is pretty good, a different tune from what I have normally heard on the radio.  My good buddy, Marky Mark put this to my attention and I really really liked it.  I hope you do too.

Earworm: Best Song Ever – One Direction

Yes, yes, I am posting about One Direction.  Ever since this song came out, it has been stuck to my head, and even worse, I made a video montage of a vacation this past summer, and used this as the musical background.  In fact, it was the theme for the week.  We dubbed it ‘Best Week Ever’, due to the fact my future nephews kept singing it all week, and it just stuck. Coupled with the fact I listened to the song a million times while cutting the footage together, since I wanted specific parts to match up to specific beats/lyrics.

I have to admit though, I am slowly becoming a fan, and I do enjoy their pop-y music.  The video is quite fun also.  I love Jonny, the studio exec, played by Louis Tomlinson.  It mimics Tom Cruise’s Les Grossman from Tropic Thunder.  Anyway, enjoy it.

Earworm: Still into you – Paramore

My favorite song of 2013.  I cannot get enough of this song, partially because I feel the same towards my soon to be wife.  It’s really something when you find that someone, and they make you feel that way.  I also love their self titled album.  Go pick it up if you haven’t done so.

Earworm: The Great Escape – Boys Likes Girls

This song came out some four years ago, it was quite catchy then, but it (or the group) never really took off with me. I did hear this recently, and I have been humming it since. It’s not a bad song, but it’s just not great either. It sounded a lot like the song’s that were coming out at the time, which is why Boys Likes Girls never really stood out in my mind.
