Earworm: Serebro – Mi Mi Mi…

I blame Cheesecake for this one.  He played this while we were in the car.  Now I have heard this song previously, and I didn’t pay much attention to it, but, he kept on humming it, and it’s turned into an earworm.  It’s distracting me so much I had to forgo my scheduled post.

We’ll that partially true.  I have been busy working on a home project, and by the end of it all, I am totally spent.  I am hoping to get it up by Wednesday. In the meantime, enjoy this irritating earworm.

On the plus side, Serebro is not bad to look at.

Earworm: X Ambassadors – Renegades

So this song has been plaguing my subconscious for some time now since it has been used in the Jeep Renegade commercial.  I think that vehicle is ugly, but I am thankful for it’s existence since it has introduced me to this wonderful earworm worthy song.

Enjoy the harmonious harmony of  XA

Earworm: Paramore – Pressure (and an editorial)

We are back! Well sort of. I know it’s been a long while since any of us three has posted anything. I myself just got married, and had to go through the process of moving, and getting readjusted. Pat, is wrapping up his HS life, and getting ready for college, and Clothed Snake moving in to a new homestead, and working some freelance gigs. Something had to give and unfortunately, this had to be put on the backburner.

Hopefully we can start providing some sort of content, as we enter into the holiday season, and maybe provide y’all with some fun and immature stuff.

To kick off our sort of return, I give you an earworm, in the form of Paramore’s latest single and video called pressure.

Nothing better than listenting to their smooth sounds, watching them jam out. As usual Ms. Williams looks amazing, with those red locks. Of course, the preverbial cherry on top, water gets dumped on the band, and, I have to admit, seeing a wet Hayley got my heart to skip a bit momentarily.

Enjoy!

Earworm: “Ghost” by Sir Sly

It’s back. I’m back. Baby got back. It seems as if I’d taken a year of hiatus from consistently posting on here, and it’s time I got myself back on the scene. My music library has grown, and my ear health has dwindled. Greatly. To rest my ears, I’ve taken to listening to softer music for the summer. One of my favorite songs as of late is a very calming one by Sir Sly, an indie pop band out of Los Angeles, California. Indie pop from out west has been taking over my playlist ever so slowly since Foster the People and The Neighbourhood made it to my ear drums.

And even better is the live version…

Earworm: Ed Sheeran – You Need Me, I Don’t Need You

Seriously, I was never a fan of Ed Sheeran, but slowly his songs, his lyrics got to me, and I got on the bandwagon.  This particular one is pretty good, a different tune from what I have normally heard on the radio.  My good buddy, Marky Mark put this to my attention and I really really liked it.  I hope you do too.

Earworm: The Great Escape – Boys Likes Girls

This song came out some four years ago, it was quite catchy then, but it (or the group) never really took off with me. I did hear this recently, and I have been humming it since. It’s not a bad song, but it’s just not great either. It sounded a lot like the song’s that were coming out at the time, which is why Boys Likes Girls never really stood out in my mind.

Earworm: Christmas Eve/ Sarajevo – Trans-Siberian Orchestra

One of my favorite remakes of a timeless Christmas Classic.  It’s just a nice modern version, and it’s also so very powerful.  I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas, and that y’all got what you asked for.

Earworm: Britney Spears – Stronger

Wrapping up our all female Earworm week, I give to you probably my biggest pop crush back in the day.  Ms. Spears was a constant for me in my mix CD‘s, a constant in my PC wall papers, and just a constant.  Her breakout hit ‘Baby One More Time‘ had her dressed up in a catholic school girl uniform, and like so many other dudes that denied even getting a stiffy for her, I was hooked.

Her music, is not bad, not great, but not bad.  It is your typical pop, bubbly stuff, but it was catchy.  I don’t listen to her stuff much these days, as my musical taste sort of out grew her style.  In any case, I did an Earworm for ‘Baby One More Time’ already, so I give to you ‘Stronger’.  It’s only fitting since, around this time last year, super storm Sandy was creeping up on us, and a lot of the northeast USA (which is where I am) got ravaged.  Stuff was destroyed, lives were lost, but like what a part of the song say’s, ‘Stronger than yesterday’ and I think a lot of us are just that, Stronger, we survived that great tragedy, and we are stronger now than yesterday.

Earworm: Applause – Lady GaGa

I used to not like Lady GaGa.  Not that her music is bad, but they just overplayed her music a few years ago.  But for some reason, when this song came out, I instantly liked it.  Maybe it’s the beat, maybe it sounds a bit different from the stuff that’s been on the airwaves recently.  In any case, this still continues our all female Earworm week, and I did jump from the 80’s  to today’s music.  Enjoy!

Earworm: M2M – Don’t Say You’ll Love Me

M2M is a Norwegian pop duo that briefly came to our consciousness in the late 90’s when their song ‘Don’t Say You’ll Love Me’ was a song that was in the first Pokemon movie.  I have no idea why I thought of them all of a sudden, and why I was sort of humming their song at some point today.  It worked out well, since they are the next entry in our ‘All Female’ Earworm week.
