We shouldn’t learn just to pass an exam (which is quite pretentious). We should learn to enjoy the world.

Earworm: Here Comes the Rain Again – Eurythmics
First full day of Vacation, and a severe thunderstorm just happens to roll by, thus eliminating any chances of outdoor fun by the beaches of the Outerbanks. In the last I don’t know, how ever many weeks since the 2nd half of July, it’s been raining at a steady rate. It’s all good, since we don’t have much of a drought problem, but it just kind of sucks at the same time.
I don’t particularly like rain since being in the city with a lot of people, and being a tall dude, the umbrella’s just seem to be at my eye level, and other pedestrians just seem to not care. Anyway, every time it rains, we just start singing ‘Here Comes the Rain Again’ by the Eurythmics, and as it was doing just that, I started humming it again, and again, and again.
Earworm: “Take on Me” by A-ha
Okay, when you insult Take on Me, you cross the line. This is by far one of my favorite songs, and I am sorry, but if you don’t think that it is one of the greatest songs ever (or even argue that it is not music), you have no taste in music. It is a necessity on a list of top songs. For me, it would be number 7.
My buddy, who I shall refer to as Bruce for the sake of anonymity, and I were skateboarding at an indoor skatepark, and the stereo system started blasting 80s and 90s jams, and this classic hit was the first on the playlist.
I screamed, “YES THIS IS BOMB!” and Bruce said, “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! THIS ISN’T MUSIC!”
..Oh Bruce, your musical horizons must be broadened.
Of course, none can argue that this music video is fantastic.
By the way… “HIT IT MR. BUTTERS!”
