Earworm: Creep – TLC

I’m going to keep it short and sweet.  So, today, myself, and my GF, made our way down to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. It’s normally a 7 hour trip with no hitches, but, sadly, it took us 10 hours.  Traffic pretty much from the start of Virginia all the way down to North Carolina.  In any case, TLC’s song Creep came on SiriusXM, as we were creeping in traffic, and my GF made a comment, stating that, ‘yeah, that’s us, we’re creeping our way down.

I’ve been sort of humming it in and out through out the day ever since.

I should sell mine.

You know, I’ve had one of these for the longest time. I asked for it for Christmas some point along the line, and lo and behold, I got it. A Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Disk. A life size replica of the cool contraption used in the animated series, it’s worth around 100 dollars, according to several online sellers. I think I’ll wait a few more years, then I’ll sell it when it’s worth more. Toys, man. Always a great thing.

Earworm: “Hurricane” by Thirty Seconds to Mars

Ah, Thirty Seconds to Mars. Your lyrics are enthralling and exciting and ignite that curiosity in your audience. A lot of people like to question the lyrics from any band, and some just like to memorize the lyrics and sing them by heart. With a lot of the songs from the album This Is War, you can only memorize certain lyrics due to the complexity. Lyrics that get stuck in your head and resound over and over and over again. That makes Hurricane today’s Earworm. These lyrics. Just… Echo.

“Tell me would you kill, to save a life?
Tell me would you kill, to prove you’re right?
Crash crash
Burn, let it all burn.
This hurricane chases us all under ground.

No matter how many deaths that I die, I will never forget.
No matter how many lives that I live, I will never regret.
There is a fire inside of this heart and a riot about to explode in flames.
Where is your God?
Where is your God?
Where is your God?”

Those are the lyrics I pretty much know by heart, of course the first stanza is the chorus.

Here’s the short film that is the music video for Hurricane. (WARNING: NSFW DUE TO NUDITY, PARTIAL NUDITY, VIOLENCE, AND GRAPHIC SEXUAL DEPICTIONS)

And here is the lyric video.
