Top 30 Favorite Songs of All Time: #19 “Can’t Hold Us” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Ray Dalton

We’ve now entered the teens of this list, my friends.

Macklemore, basically known by all teenagers as one of the minds behind the great song Thrift Shop, is an amazing lyricist. His lyrics actually represent values that aren’t about money, prostitutes, jewelry, crime, drugs, or anything of the like. He speaks against music like that, and his message is always presented in unique ways.

This song, since the well deserved rise in fame of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, has been featured in several commercials, especially for the NBA.

Anyway, let’s get to the song. Ray Dalton’s voice really made me think it was John Legend at first.

Top 30 Favorite Songs of All Time: #22 “Undercover Martyn” by Two Door Cinema Club

One of my favorite artists of all time, a song off one of my favorite albums of all time, on my list of top 30 favorite songs of all time. Bravo, Two Door Cinema Club.

Indie music just makes me relax and feel really good about myself, inspiring me to be creative, something a lot of other music genres don’t do for me. Rap can make me laugh, but a lot of the time it just makes me want to venture out and do something outrageous. Rock music is for when I want to rock out, it’s that simple.

This song is really upbeat and calm, a definite upside.

Enjoy.

Oh, I don’t understand the music video, either. Have fun deciphering this, readers.

Earworm: “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Wanz

Funny rap songs. I’m in.

Funny rap songs with meaning behind them? Even better.

The last verse of this catchy and hilarious song actually makes so much sense. Why pay so much money to buy something that won’t even make you look unique? It’s not like buying expensive clothes get you the ladies (or men, or, hell, both). Yeah, the style might help.

But why pay full price? Thrift Shop. This is fucking awesome.

This earworm is literally embedded in my head. I can’t stop singing the hook, and the rapping is actually really smooth. I can dig it.

Are the reason why teachers don’t trust Wikipedia. Don’t look at it and just be all, “WTF IS THIS,” just… keep scrolling. Come back and comment your thoughts.

Earworm: “Ding Dong Song” by Gunther and the Sunshine Girls

I love this song. The hilarious innuendos are endless. I do advise you not to watch this at work, of course. NSFW, bros. Have some hilarity.

Bacon Roses = Genius

Whoever thought of this up is pure genius and should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.  I mean seriously, I think Bacon can solve a lot of the world’s problems, and Bacon Roses?!, hell, if someone that I was pissed off with, gave me bacon roses, then, it’s water under the bridge, as they say.

This is EPIC-ness to the umpteenth degree.

One of  my fave shots during the ‘Where is Garfield Now’ era, or WIGN for short.  I just did some play with some lights, and made one of my Alien toys, stalking Garfield.

I really ought to bring back a similar series. The original Pez dispenser is all beat up, so I should pick up another similar one.

Earworm: “Canned Heat” – Jamiroquai

For some reason this song has been stuck in my head for a few days.  I recently heard it on Sirius XM, and it sort of brought me back to one of my favorite movies of all time, Napoleon Dynamite. Jon Heder doing that dance to this song is just EPIC.  JayKay also happens to be a big gear head and has made multiple appearances on one of my favorite TV shows of all time, Top Gear.

Anyway, the song is way trippy, as is the video.  It’s just a joy to listen to, puts you in a sort of feel good mood.  I don’t know, i’ve listened to it a few times over the past few days and it has made me feel a bit better.

And as an extra, Jon Heder’s EPIC performance from Napoleon Dynamite.
