I am what I am. I like food, photography, and anything that does not involve getting mortally wounded, or dying. I don't take things too seriously, so i'm not at all that serious about being serious. Seriously, just have fun, which is what I like to do sometimes, as long as I don't die, or get mortally wounded.

Full Moon

The return of the random photos.  This was taken the night after the storm, quiet night, and I had nothing much to do, being without power and such.  The moon was full that night, and with the power out, there were no street lights, and thus making it stand out much more.

Refugee’s

Well, still without power, but at least we are now holed up at my GF’s house that has power, heat, internet, and TV, so it’s better than the previous situation.  I hope everyone is holding up just fine, with the gasoline issues, power issues, and what not, especially now that its getting a bit colder.

Stay frosty everyone.

Mobil-blog: Normalcy

The lack of heat and lights at my house is getting tiring, but, at least that’s the only thing I have to bitch about. A lot have no homes to even get to.  So for those that bitch and moan about not having power or TV, be thankful. It could be a lot worse.

Having said that it’s nice to have a functioning cell/data service from Verizon and a mall to warm up in.  Sitting here amongst the number of powerless refugees to charge up, warm up and just not be at home. Having a proper cup of coffee helps.

Normalcy is what we all need. Whether its going back to work or just doing Any activity like running or drinking coffee, anything to help us not think of what just happened and sort of move on.

I’m still not at work due to commuting complications and lack of power in our office.  So I’m trying to find my own normalcy.  Coffee helps…

Sandy: the aftermath

Well we got hit by hurricane Sandy pretty bad. No real damage was done but there were still a lot in my area (NJ) and other places.  I am over thankful we only have downed trees in our backyard and loss of power. It could have been worse, a lot worse. So far all the people I know did not get hit bad. Minor damages that can be fixed, and that’s the key word, fixed.
Posts from myself will be limited as we still don’t have power, and thus no internet and a PC.  I really can’t post from my phone much as I need to conserve battery, and we also got full cell phone connectivity back in our area.
I hope everyone of our readers / followers faired just as good if not better than myself and cheesecake.
I count our blessings for getting out of this tragic force of mother nature unscathed.

Stay safe from Sandy

The east coast of the US is about to get hit by a massive storm. Please everyone, be smart and safe, during this hurricane. Lots of lives down in the Caribbean has already been lost, and we don’t need to see any unnecessary lives lost once this thing hits. Stay indoors, and don’t go out unless needed, like if you need to get away from floods or what not.

I myself am already stuck in NJ for the next few days with NYC closing up, and my train service, the New Jersey Transit shutting down. Again, stay safe everyone!

Wii U very quick initial impressions.

This was the first time I’ve really seen the Wii U up close.  I haven’t really paid much attention to it since they announced it.  I have to say though, I was quite impressed.  The controller wasn’t as bulky to hold at it sseems, and it’s not as heavy as it looks either, BUT, I can see how after an hour or so, it might be problematic.

I played a few moments of Rayman: Legends (which I stated Rayman: Wii U edition in the video), and the graphics are up to par with the PS3, and XB 360.  We’ll see how it holds up once Sony and MS bring out their new systems.  Anyway enjoy the video’s I was able to take.

Butterfly

Apologies for the super late post.  I just got my new phone today, a Galaxy Nexus S, and I’ve been playing around with it a bit much. It is also my GF’s birthday, so, stuff had to be taken care of.

Anyhow, this was a picture shot at this massive art place in upstate NY, called Storm King art center.  They have a massive expanse of land, and they have massive artwork all over the place.  I don’t think we even got to explore the whole place.  In one area, I just noticed a bunch of insects, bee’s, lady bugs, butterflies.  I sat there observing, and I decided to just start taking photographs.  I don’t have a true macro lens for my Pentax, but the DA* 50-130mm lens proved to be a worthy lens.  Below is one of my personal favorites from that set.

Superman and Lois

One of the best look a likes for Superman I have seen, and Lois is not far off either. Even Lex Luthor in the background is pretty close. I later found out from a friend in Florida, that he does this a lot, and he actually knew him. Small world eh?
