3A is producing, or has been producing, yet another gigantic Metal Gear. This time around its Metal Gear RAY who’s shining in the spotlight. 3A’s last outing was for Metal Gear REX. REX’s ratio is estimated at about 1:48 and I’m guesstimating that RAY will be roughly the same ratio. I’m also assuming the price range will be just as similar at around $599.99. Here are a few new photos to whet your appetites. It’s the size of a gahdamn golden retriever! (more…)

Gran Turismo 6 announced
To celebrate Gran Turismo’s 15th anniversary, Sony announced it’s 6th iteration. This sort of came out of left field, but I had an inkling that it will be announced when they started posting Gran Turismo History on FB. I’ve been a huge fan since it’s release, and have owned every Playstation release (sans PSP version), and I am just revving with anticipation. It is set to be released this holiday season, and perhaps a PS4 variant as well. I have to start workin extra OT, and save every penny for this coming holidays. (more…)

Agent Coulson’s Own Avengers
Yet another great character makes a comeback, this time to the smaller screen. That character my friends, is none other than Agent Coulson aka Clark Gregg of SHIELD fame. Last we saw of him he seemed to have been killed off by Thor’s number one nemesis, aka brother, in the form of Loki in the first Avengers movie. Definitely looking forward to this when air date nears. Apparently Agent Hill didn’t get the memo:
It’s okay, Agent Hill. Just read what I wrote, or check the source below.
UPDATE:
BTW Agent Hill, here’s a nice 30 second tv spot of the new show so don’t be mad, bro:

Jack Is Back On FOX!
I just heard this on the radio today so hopefully this news has more weight to it. Just in case it’s true I’ll be preemptive about this. After some quick research I found out that apparently FOX is making moves to bring back one of its most popular series to date. 24 ran for about 8 seasons beginning in 2001, and ending its run in 2010. Jack Bauer, the series protagonist, has been stopping bad guys the whole time. There were even talks to bring Bauer to the big screen, which would be great for fans, myself included. As of now that situation is in proverbial limbo. Lets all pray it works out.
Show wise, 24 could start its 9th season once the execs work out some sort of solid deals. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing Kiefer save the day again. As of now you can relive the joy of the first 8 seasons right now on Netflix. Crossing my fingers for season 9!

Resident Evil: Revelations Demo Inbound For Consoles May 14th
Resident Evil: Revelation fans will be treated to a demo of the console version of the Nintendo 3DS released survival horror game. A bite sized demo will be released on PSN, XBL, and Wii U eShop May 14th. Here’s a trailer for the Wii U version:
Revelations for Wii U showcases the ability to use the GamePad in a few ways. One focuses on using the added screen to show the map as you walk thru corridors and dark hallways. The other option actually let’s you use the GamePad to play the game directly on it.
Having the 3DS version myself, it looks to play very similar to its source material. The 3DS version also lets players use the bottom screen to toggle the map and switch weapons on the fly. And might I say that Revelations is a fine Resident Evil experience OTG. Immersion is high as getting sucked into this game is pretty easy. Were it not for the terrible battery life of my 3DS I could play this all day.
Those looking to experience this game with sharper graphics and a bigger screen won’t have to wait for the console demo much longer. Just a few days, people.

The World’s End – Trailer
From the people that brought us Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz comes, the World’s End. This will be Edgar Wright‘s final installmaent of his ‘Three Flavours of Cornetto’ trilogy. And going on track record from the other 2 mentioned movies, this should be a blasty. I love both movies, I’ve seen Hot Fuzz 3 times before it was even officially released here in the US. (thanks to my buddy, who’s a bigger fan of Edgar, Nick, and Simon). I even had a smoke with Nick Frost and Simon Pegg at one of the Hot Fuzz Q & A’s. They are totally down to earth blokes. My buddy, ShinG0 even had a talk with Edgar Wright on the way down to street level.
Anyway, I cannot wait until this movie is released, and judging from the trailer, it’s going to have the same amount of ridiculousness as the other 2 movies. I am officially Giddy.

Samurai Pizza Cats box set announced
Joy of joys, one of my favorite anime’s of all time, The Samurai Pizza Cats has a box set coming out in July of this year. It will retail for $79.99 and it will have all 52 episodes (dubbed) on 8 DVD‘s. Discotek Media‘s Facebook Page posted the release a few day’s ago. This was a short lived series shown here in the US. It’s time slot was when most kids where headed to school, so hardly anyone saw it. This was at a time when Anime was still gaining some steam here in the US, and for some of us at the the time that were already fans, we were already enjoying such shows as the above aforementioned, Sailor Moon, Ronin Warriors, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and a few others. (I s always saw the Dragon Balls in it’s original Japanese version with Subtitles, and I never warmed to the dubbed versions.) All of these were shown like at 5 am, and we all had to set our VCR‘s to those time slots, and they never were on for very long. I do like the fact that Cartoon Network had the Anime Block at midnight that showed Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, and such, and even Sci-Fi was showing some classic anime films, such as Appleseed, Akira, etc.
Anyway, I am looking forward to this box set release, and will be purchasing it as soon as I can. I also did a post about this show not too long ago. (see Link below. )

Solid Snake Says Something Somewhat Satisfying
Well it’s not really satisfying but pretty obvious. David Hayter aka Solid Snake aka Old Snake aka Naked Snake ak-motherfucking-a Big Boss, himself spoke on behalf of IGN about the reasons why the recently announced MGS Legacy Collection will not be released on the Xbox 360. Signs point to the obvious caveat that the media capacity of the 360’s current system only being able to run DVD format versus the PS3’s bluray capabilities.
I used to be one of those who wanted to keep the MGS series exclusive to Sony devices but grew up and realized that I shouldn’t be selfish and it’d ultimately be better if MGS were everywhere. And I own a 360 as well as my PS3 and am considering getting the MGS HD Collection on the 360 too. That’s how much I love this series. And you know what they say. If you love it set it free and if it comes back you play the shit out of it over and over again. Or something to that effect. Anyways you can get the full gist below.
In the clip Hayter reads off some interesting facts about Kojima’s decision to exclude any traces of a 360 version. Most notably that a Legacy Collection without MGS4 simply wouldn’t be a Legacy Collection. Good point Kojima-San.
Side note 1: I told Jezzanorris, who put me onto this interesting tidbit of info, that it’s very curious that Hayter himself, was reiterating Hideo Kojima’s explanation of the lack of a 360 Legacy Collection release, given the fact that Kojima has confirmed to the world, and all MGS fans that David Hayter will NOT be reprising his VO role as Big Boss in the recently announced Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It could just be because the Legacy Collection contains all previously released canon MGS titles, save for Portable Ops, which feature David Hayter’s iconic voice work for every iteration of Snake. Curious INDEED, aye Kojima??
Side note 2: For those who keep blabbering that Portable Ops isn’t canon to the MGS lore, I say drink some shut-the-fuck-up juice and research your shit. PO’s lack of advertising bravado as compared with PW media circus shouldn’t dictate whether or not PO is canon when it’s been brought up in MGS4 and PW itself for fucks sake.
SNAAAKE!!!
