As I mentioned in my last follies post, the Fujifilm Pro-400H was my 2nd to last expired film (read post here). Well, this is the last of my expired film: Kodak’s 400 Tri-X professional black and white film. This is also probably the least aged of my old film, only having expired around late 2013. This film also gave me a (more…)
Alvin’s Gadget Follies – Samsung Galaxy S6 Randomness
I’ve had the Samsung Galaxy S6 for over a couple months and still can’t stop raving about the camera on the device.
I didn’t realize just how many photos I have taken with it (well over 600) and I think it I am still discovering more surprises with it.
Jezza’s Film Follies – (Digital Eyes, Analog Body)
I have to seriously use the film that I get within its sell by date. Having said that, this is the 2nd to last roll of film I have had sitting around for over a year. That film in question is Fujifilm’s Pro 400h color negative film. This didn’t have that colour shift that I got from my previous old roll of film (Kodak Chrome 100) which the post can be read here. But then again, that roll was, I would guess, about 10 years old.
Alvin’s Film Follies (Part X – Experiment With a Flash Gone Wrong…)
In the past few weeks, I’ve had an opportunity to try out shooting with slide film – a roll of Fujichrome Velvia 50. As I mentioned in my previous post, the roll took 2 weeks to process. (more…)

Windows 10 – A “Snappy” Quick Impression

Snappy Fridays – Killbear Sunset (Taken By the Samsung Galaxy S6)
“Snappy” Fact: The landscape where this photo was taken (Killbear Provincial Park) may have served as a source of inspiration for the Group of Seven.
Jezza’s Food Follies – Being a “Jolly Fat Pig”
It’s no secret, I love food! Who doesn’t love food though? It sustains us, makes us happy, comforts us, but it can also be a hindrance if not taken in moderation (like with everything else, except maybe reading this blog, you can OD on this blog and it can, perhaps, make you a better person – maybe?) (more…)
Alvin’s Film Follies (Part IX – Penny Tries Velvia and A Digital Fisheye?)
Over the past couple of weeks, I was camping and was also waiting for my first roll of slide film (Fujifilm Velvia 50) to come back from the folks at DC. Due to my ignorance, I didn’t know that it would take two weeks for the film to get processed. “Oh well,” I said to myself, “What to do in the meantime?”
