This is probably one of my favorite events to spectate let alone shoot.  The last few years or should I say the first 3 years of me watching / shooting this event, I have been more of a spectator than a photographer.  You could also say I got a bit lazy and just wanted to enjoy the weekend.  This year I wanted to focus more on the photography and try to enjoy it as much, and I’m glad I went that direction.  I think I enjoyed it more watching the race unfold through my finder rather than watching and capturing snap shots casually with whatever camera I happen to have available.

Never Forgotten

14 Years ago we faced one of the biggest atrocities this country has ever experienced. I will never forget what I saw that day, the feelings I had, the emotions…

As I sit here on my desk, staring at the Freedom Towers, I can’t even imagine if was sitting here 14 years ago, and seeing that from my desk. I did see Tower 2 fall in a roof top parking lot, and I still can’t believe it to this day that it happened.

From all of us here at JustWroteABlog, a moment of silence to the heroes and the victims of that day.

RANDOM PHOTO OF THE DAY – SKATE? SKATE?! SKAAATE?!

Put this one under the uber lucky tab. Now, I am a big dude. Standing at 6 foot 6 inches, I am tall for someone of asian decent to say the least. Some time ago one of my nephews had a birthday party at an ice rink, or an ice skating birthday party, so my wife and I volunteered to take him, since we can both skate and his parents can’t. Now for a tall dude, I have pretty big feet. It goes without saying. Long story short, they did not have skates in my size (shoe size 15), and I was stuck in the sidelines watching everyone have fun. Snappy Fridays – Special ‘Dough’-nut

Artisanal stuff is just great.  You take an everyday mundane thing like a doughnut, and make it fancy, like put bits of brownie on top of a chocolate glaze and finish it off with some pecans, and make it fresh through the day on site, and charge twice as much as Dunkin’ Donuts and it all amounts to Dough Doughnuts special. (daily, weekly, not really sure, I  don’t go there enough)

I do prefer Doughnut Plant as my go to sweet guilty pleasure, but this sure does take the icing? … Also? …

The only thing I can say about this game at the moment is, wow, that was the best intro/tutorial I have ever done.  The graphics are top notch, the voice acting superb thus far, controls – tight.  I do not have one single complaint yet about this game, but granted I have only played the intro/tutorial.  Below are some choice grabs. (or grabs that I was able to get or remember to get since I was too engrossed on what was going on)
