A nice chunk of MGSV related news made the rounds last week. This all ranging from the opening of the new Los Angeles based Kojima Productions studio, a screening of some new gameplay footage (behind closed doors unfortunately), and more details of one of the prominent characters in the game. The latter portion has already caused much controversy.
Bridezillas
No. No, no. I’m completely drunk off of this amount of stupidity.
You think celebrities are stupid? No. Think again.
Regular friggin Americans. Holy crap.
Bridezillas is a show that airs on We, and it’s quite possibly the only the show that has ever made me completely shit faced from dumbassery in a one hour time period.
I can’t explain how, but I honestly feel as if I’m never going to recover from that.
Cooter!!!!
Please, please watch Bridezillas responsibly, this is a public service announcement.

Earworm: Michael Franti & Spearhead – I’m Alive (Life Sounds Like)
I don’t hear this song much, but when I do, it lifts up my mood. It’s just a catchy song, and it gets me whistling through out the day. I hope it lifts up your mood to as it does me.
HTC W(ONE)DERFUL
To coincide with JezzaNorris‘ post about his oh so tasty HTC One I’ve also had a go at the phone itself and, I gotta say, it makes me slightly jealous. Or Jelly. Or maybe even Jellybean… AMIRITE?? No? Ok moving on then.
HTC One – Verizon Edition
ONE phone to rule them all, OK, not really, but it sure can make an argument for it.
The following are just my thoughts on this phone, it is not a full technical review highlighting it’s feature set. It’s just an overview of my personal experience on my new toy. Phonescoop, Engadget, etc., has full reviews of the One, so check them out for a full fledged technical look at this device.
As a birthday gift to myself, I recently purchased HTC‘s current flagship smartphone, the One, and as after spending about a week or so with it, I can safely say it is the best smartphone I have owned/used.
Sure that statement can be made every time a new device comes out, but with my last 2 smartphones being lackluster at best, It can’t be claimed all the time. Let’s take a closer look at why I think HTC’s One is quite the beast that it is. I know a lot has been said about this phone already, as it’s been out since April of this year. BUT VZW just got around to releasing it.

Quality Over Quantity
So it’s recently come to my attention that Xbox One will support eight controllers at the same time compared to the Playstation 4 which will only support four at this time. Depending on which system you all plan to get, if at all, this news is either good, bad, or meh.
I Am Solid Snake, Er, I Mean Street Fighter
If any of you know Street Fighter then perhaps some of you are like how I was, frequenting arcades, or in my case my then local comic shop, to peruse not just the new comics but to also see what arcade machines were recently installed by the owners of the establishment. My memories go back to the days of the fighting games, before any of these consoles really took over and became the digital equivalent of social gaming’s past. I used to hang out with friends and play on these arcade machines for hours on end, beating ad being beaten. Waiting to see who the next winners and losers were. Of the popular fighting games during that time Street Fighter II was the most popular and most engaging.
Capcom has put together a 72 minute documentary about Street Fighter and why people loved it back then and still love it total. Somehow, amidst all the shooters and multiplayer games of today, Street Fighter stands the test of time and is still enjoyed by gamers all over the world.
As this documentary can attest, Street Fighter, and fighting games in general, are here to stay 25 years later. I for one am happy that such a genre can still be enjoyed by one and all gamers.

PSSSSSST… Ya You!
It looks like the Playstation 4 will be doing more than play games and sharing gameplay videos. Users will be able to issue navigational commands via voice as well as be able to recognize your ugly mug all via the Playstation Camera. There’s a demo clip at the bottom from GameStop Expo 2013. The clip is a bit off the cuff but gets the point across.
One thing that comes to mind is whether the PS Camera will also exploit user privacy, but that’s for another article entirely. For now use this demo to make an informed decision.

FINALLY Some MGS News
Hey kids. So after a month or so of virtually nothing we finally get some little morsels of MGS news. This post will be a roundup if you will, of the current events that have happened thus far related to anything Metal Gear. Lets get to it.
It looks like NA isn’t the only region that will have gotten their hands on the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection (MGS LC for short). Europe will be the next recipient of this archived collection of past canonical* MGS titles. As with the NA release Europe will also be getting Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid (download), VR Missions (download), Metal Gear Solid 2 HD, Metal Gear Solid 3 HD, Metal Gear Solid 4, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD, and the Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2 digital graphic novels. The art book will also accompany this collection and will be strictly for PS3 owners. I say the more the merrier. Everyone should get to enjoy MGS as a whole series. Though Xbox 360 owners will be left in the dark. At least they have the HD Collection, which also contains Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (more…)
Team Four Star Dragon Ball Z Parodies
I first saw Dragon Ball Z right around my 2nd year of HS. Original with sub-titles. I was quite ecstatic when I found out they were showing it very early in the AM on some channel I cannot remember, but was utterly disappointed when I heard the English dubs. Suffice to say, I stuck to watching my old VHS copies with the sub-titles and soon pretty much grew out of it. DBZ has since made a pretty good run in the US, with the shows being brought on to Cartoon Network, video games coming out for various systems, and then DVD‘s and Blu-Rays. I was happy w/ the disc versions, since I can switch to Japanese with subs. Anyway, my cousin brought Team Four Star to my attention not too long ago, it’s an abridged version of the shows, but, they re-did the dubs, and added a ton of humor. IT IS one of THE funniest things I have watched. If you like DBZ, I highly suggest you check them out. They currently have 5 seasons in I think.
