Top 30 Favorite Songs of All Time: #15 “Come Back Home” by Two Door Cinema Club

Oh yes, another Two Door Cinema Club song for all my fans out there.

I find myself loving this band more and more each and every day I spend listening to their music, yknow?

My friend calls me a hipster for listening to them, but what does she know, she’s a hipster herself.

Go ahead and do as I say, enjoy this song.

Top 30 Favorite Songs of All Time: #16 “Someday” by The Strokes

I remember first hearing this song on the soundtrack for MLB 07: The Show, the baseball game with David Wright on the cover. Man, this song was good, has been good, and I have a feeling that to me, it will always be good.

This gem is off of their album, Is This It.

The Strokes have slowly been climbing on my favorite artists ladder, too.

If this list were actually structured, this would definitely be in the top 5.

Enjoy the song!

Top 30 Favorite Songs of All Time: #17 “Eyes Wide Open” by Gotye

Ah, yes, Gotye. A hit here in America because of Somebody That I Used to Know. Most people here where I live don’t give two shits for the rest of an artist’s music so long as they have one hit, which, in all honesty, pisses me off. If you find an artist appealing, look further into them. It’s a simple enough task, nearly everyone, even 2 year olds, have access to some sort of browser of the interwebs to view or listen to some songs.

One of my more personally favored songs happens to be what I believe to be his best song off the album Making Mirrors, Eyes Wide Open.

Have a listen, boys and girls.

Happauge PVR 2 Impressions and a quick Tomb Raider Gameplay video

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3paVi-z7v8]

A few days ago, I finally bit the bullet and bought a Happauge PVR 2 to provide you guys with some additional content on the games we are playing.  I had bought this knowing that it will not work with the PS3 using HDMI.  Since it has HDCP protection, you need to hook up your PS3 via component connection, and not HDMI.  Anyway, the install, and set up on the PC was pretty straight forward.  I just had to reset my PS3 video settings to do component since I was hooked up via HDMI.  Long story short, after about a 15 or so minutes, installing the software, hooking it up, and resetting my PS3, I was up and running.   (more…)

Resident Evil 6 Meets Left 4 Dead 2 in Upcoming DLC

OOh, nice nice

Jen's avatarAnother Castle

Ever wonder how Coach, Ellis, Rochelle, and Nick would take on the T-Virus? Well, wonder no more. Capcom announced on March 15th that Resident Evil 6 and Left 4 Dead 2 worlds will collide.

The all-new No Mercy mode will be the arena to play as Valve’s New Orleans’ zombie apocalypse survivors. But not to leave our Louisiana troubadours in the cold, Valve will also include two special infected, the Witch and the Mini-Tank.

Felt like Left 4 Dead 2 could use more zombies? You got that, too! Valve developers created Resident Evil 6 enemies for their world — Lepotitsa, Napad, and Ogroman — and are to be expected sometime in the Spring.

Limited to the PC version exclusively, Resident Evil 6 will release March 22nd and will see the free DLC crossover pack available on April 5th. To access the crossover, download Left 4 Dead 2 [if not already…

Chrono Jigga – A Remix Album by 2 Mello

Interesting

Chronos's avatarOVERHYPED GAMES

So I was searching the internet for any news regarding a possible Chrono Trigger remake or sequel when I stumbled upon this curious mashup between Chrono Trigger soundtrack and Jay-Z. I’ve never been mush of a fan of the hip-hop scene. Nonetheless, I must admit that this mix is pretty incredible. The album is available for a free download on the official site and also on the player above.

This album was mixed by 2 Mello, a music producer and rapper from Lexington, KY and who, apparently, is also a gamer with a great taste for RPG’s. If Yasunori Mitsuda and Nobuo Uematsu only dreamt of what their work was mixed into, their jaws would drop as much as mine did. You can check the project’s official page here.

As I mentioned before, we are committed to bringing you more original content.  So, to go along with the Samson Go Mic I just purchased recently, I just purchased a Happauge HD PVR 2.  Now, we can give you personalized gaming footage of the games we are currently playing.  Exciting stuff, exciting stuff.

Top 30 Favorite Songs of All Time: #18 “Fast Car” by Tracy Chapman

Soothing guitar, soothing lyrics. Always a winner.

A song about just going out and trying to live, making a living by just living, a song about making sacrifices to better the lives of others for their sake, not just your own, about making bad decisions that ruin the world around you.

Tracy Chapman is a she, by the way.

Enjoy.

Samsung BT gamepad

Announced alongside its new flagship phone, the Galaxy S IV, this new BT gamepad will allow us to finally play some mobile games comfortably and less stressful. Of course if developers support it. It will hold a phone sizes from 4″ – 8″, will be powered by AAA batteries and connects via BT. Finally we can play emulated OG games properly. It does look a bit like an Xbox controller and I’m not really keen on those, but beggars can’t be choosers right? Click on the link below for more info.
