Use your Dual Shock 3 with your Android phone..

…as long as it’s an Xperia from Sony.  One reason I never played more games than the usual bubble blast type or puzzle matching game on my phone was due to the fact that virtual controls suck ass.  I just need the physical feel of a click, something tactile.  I tried, I tried many times, but I just end up getting frustrated.  But now, Sony will be allowing us to pair up our trusty old DS3 controllers with our Xperia devices.  Sadly, I don’t have an Xperia phone, but that’s just a slight technicality.  I’m sure someone out there will be able to make it work on other Android handsets.  Of course there’s the Samsung BT controller coming out soon, but it’s shaped like an XB360 controller, and I prefer Sony’s offerings.

Enigma

Today, I will present to you a story. Something we haven’t done here on JWAB before is post fiction. We’ve never come up with some short stories (not articles) to maybe entertain (or in today’s case, confuse) the audience.

Lego Time Lapse

_NEF6259

I usually scour the end of the aisles for clearance items at Target.  It’s a good way to find something for cheap.  I’ve gotten lucky in the past, like picking up a couple of video games for well below the going rate.  Each Target store varies.  Today I was able to pick up a clearance Lego City series cement mixer.

Thought I’d pick it up, and build it, and display it.  Warm up build if you may, as I have a big Lego Star Wars Sith Fury Class Interceptor I got for the holidays, and a Technics F1 car I just bought a week ago. I haven’t really built any Lego sets since the mid 2000’s, I think 2003, when I bought a Lego Star Wars Slave 1 set.

Anyway, I wanted to also try out the time lapse feature on my phone, a feature it just got from the latest Android Jelly Bean update (4.2.2), and what a good way to try it out.  The build took about 20 or so minutes maybe, but the video is only a little bit over 2.  The background music is from Advance Wars, Andy’s Theme.  Enjoy.

Super Saiyajin

Okay, if you’ve been following for a while…

Hold on, wait, damn, I start a lot of my posts this way.

Whatever.

You’d know that I’m Filipino (not exactly proud, but I’d say it if you specifically asked for my ethnicity. If you ask what am I, I’d say an American. Again, not proudly. I’d love to be English, lots of people would love to be English). [Keep reading after the break to find out what the hell I’m going on about!] (more…)

Big Boss, Shut Up And Take My Money!

20130405-094333.jpg

I hadn’t known about Revoltech until I came across this a few weeks ago while perusing the net. Turns out Kojima is working with them to make a new toy. This one in particular is called Naked Snake 131. Judging from the Sneaking Suit on the figure it’s really Big Boss from the PSP game Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (aka Naked Snake from MGS3). Here are a few photos to show more details.

Earworm: Don’t You Worry Child – Swedish House Mafia

It’s a shame they broke up.  First song of theirs I listened to, but it certainly won’t be the last.  This video kinda gives me the chills. It sucks, first it Pendulum, and now SHM.
Thank you Swedish House Mafia for creating some awesome earworms.

Slow times

Just a quick update, with the slowness of information coming from us.  I’ve been sick the last week or so, and my mind has been blank.  NekkedSnake is a stay at home father, so his time is also sporadic, and Pat, well he’s in school, so….  We have some upcoming stuff in the works (like we always do) but we just need   wrap some stuff up.  A few quick things though that happened in the last few days.  first off, a sequel to Disney‘s ‘Finding Nemo‘ has been announced, and it’s titled ‘Finding Dory’.  Nemo is probably my favorite of the Disney Pixar films, and I am extremely ecstatic that this will be coming out.  It is set to be released on 2015.

And in other movie news, Robert Downey Jr. will not be reprising his role as Tony Stark in the upcoming Avengers 2.  With his contractual obligations fulfilled with Iron Man 3 set to be released in May of this year, Robert Downey Jr.  wanted to restructure his contract, but Marvel wasn’t willing.  Jon Hamm of Mad Men fame is reported to be replacing Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark in a tweet by Marvel.  This news kind of sucks to be honest.  Robert Downey Jr. made Tony Stark come to life like no other.  He fit the role to a T.  We’ll see what happens as time goes on.  Thing’s COULD change (hoping).

And I leave you with a trailer of an upcoming movie, Pacific Rim.  Robot suits fighting a big monster.  I am excited.

Snake, Say It Ain’t So!

20130402-180032.jpg

Well I guess the fans of the MGS series will have even more to talk about. David Hayter, voice of Solid Snake and Big Boss has confirmed (again, again) that he will not be reprising his role as the Legendary Soldier. On an interview with EpDaily.tv he verbally stated his feelings, that he still really wants to be Snake and that if the fans make a big enough impact on Kojima to have him return he’d be all for it. The interview can be found here or at the source below.

Scope is playing with my emotions

As today being April 1st, it’s the tradition to play some practical pranks, and the mouthwash company played a pretty good one.  I love bacon, If I could marry bacon, I would.  Bacon is good with everything, and I do believe it is the secret to achieving world peace.  I haven’t figured it out yet, but I am working on it.  Anyway, I’m sure many of you has seen this, but for your viewing pleasure, here it is.  (This is a very smart faux marketing campaign on Scope’s part)

MGSV – Are David Hayter And Hideo Kojima Just Trolling Everyone?

20130401-172751.jpg

I’m beginning to wonder if all this talk from Kojima about David Hayter not voicing Big Boss is just another elaborate setup just to hype up MGSV even more. Based on the whole Moby Dick Studios and Joakim Mogren trickery, things are starting to smell fishy.
