Question: Do you like the new YouTube layout?

YouTube seems to have taken a major step in pushing subscriptions. When you subscribe to a YouTuber, their new videos get sent automatically to your subscription inbox. You primarily see the videos they upload.

You’ve always been able to do this. YouTube has always been about the user and the subscriber, sharing videos, ultimately in a way that you get to watch things that you want to watch without having to try.

Usually, YouTube does a great job with their subscriptions, albeit there are some discrepancies. Sometimes the videos don’t get pushed to your subscription inbox.

What has YouTube done that makes me want to spark this discussion? They’ve changed their entire layout. They’ve introduced something called the guide, where they are heavily pushing your subscriptions to avoid these discrepancies.

I personally like this guide concept. The new minimalist approach to YouTube is stellar. I love the way it looks (on different computers, it may look different. On my Google Chrome on my Windows 7, it looks beautiful. It happens to look horrendous on Google Chrome on my Linux Ubuntu 11.) and is definitely a good improvement.

I really do wish, however, that they implemented the use of themes. Maybe a dark theme, because there is so much white space, and that looks terrible on HD monitors.

What do you guys think? Let us know how you feel about the new YouTube layout in the comment section!

The Beast

Dubbed the ‘Wildebeest’ by it’s owner, this Mini forced induced monster is indeed a beast. It’s not only turbo charged, but supercharged as well. The matte green wrapped mini copper churns out upwards of 350+ BHP. A lot of custom work was done through out the car to accomadate the power, and is the epitomy of a ‘pocket rocket’

Save the internet!

I bet that barely anyone knows that the state of the internet is being put in jeopardy today.
It’s just speculations, but the fact that they are trying to regulate something that is supposed to be worldwide is baffling. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
“A closed-door meeting of the world’s governments is starting today. The future of the internet is on the agenda. Some governments want to use this meeting of the International Telecommunication Union to increase censorship and regulate the Internet,” Vint Cerf, Google

A Very Happy Birthday

To the Big Cheese’s mother.
Right now, the Big Cheese and I are having a nice Japanese dinner at Ooka in Doylestown, PA.
He’s ordered an interesting micro brew. I can’t exactly go into detail about it now, but I’m sure he’ll talk about it soon.

Pork, the other white meat.  It’s has to me at least a very transparent taste, and it absorbs flavour like no other.  This is pretty much über bacon, pork belly, so good, so tasty so deliciously bad for you.

This was one of our entrees this past thanksgiving, and it was oh-so-delicious.  Perfect compliment to the turkey.

It’s been a while since I posted a random photo.  Just been behind on a few things.  In any case, here is an oldy.  It snowed a bit today, and reminded me of some older snow scenes that I’ve taken. And looking through my older shots, I saw this one.

Shot with my old Pentax K10D and Pentax’s DA 10-17mm Fisheye.

Shooting snowy scenes always gives me this calming effect, the quietness, the serenity of everything after a fresh snow fall gives you this peace from with in.  At least with me.  I hope you enjoyed.
